Kevin Larsen is a young man, yet there is one thing he cannot remember: when he wasn’t volunteering in some sort of ministry at Faith Community Church. This youth pastor does have an advantage in this area. FCC is his home church, for five years he was an adult leader/volunteer under the former youth leader, and his mom is a staff member.
Kevin is his own man though. Not many people enthusiastically follow a team from Green Bay and a team from Chicago, though it’s the Packers and the Cubs so it’s different sports. He graduated from Trinity International University with a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry-Youth Ministry. Previously, he went to Racine Christian School and Washington Park High School.
In 2019, Kevin began a role as high school Bible teacher at St. Augustine Preparatory School in Milwaukee. In his spare time, he enjoys playing checkball, softball, spending time with friends, ceramics, graphic design, and writing poetry.
His favorite Bible verses are found in Philippians 3:7-14. They start strong, “But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things…” Look up the rest of this passage. It’s powerful and forward thinking.
Kevin’s favorite praise song is “Great I Am” from the New Life Worship Team. Check it out on YouTube. As for the rest of Kevin’s heart: “I’m passionate for ministering to young adults and teenagers.”
